TISOK is Triskelion International - State of Kuwait

Libreng Aral for OFW is a free computer education project of the Triskelion International-Kuwait Chapter of TAU GAMMA PHI and TAU GAMMA SIGMA in cooperation with the PHILIPPINE EMBASSY of Kuwait headed by Ambassador Ricardo Endaya.

The Triskelion International-Kuwait is a non-profit, non-government organization with the objective of consolidating all Triskelions in the State of Kuwait to join hands for the fulfillment of the Triskelion Supremacy around the world. This vision is in line with the 37th fraternal anniversary theme: “Onwards the Dynamic Triskelion Evolution…” and contributing to the efforts of our fraternity and sorority to stand proud wherever in the world we find our place while healing negative impressions brought about by the past. This is also an effort of helping our country regain its respectable rank among nations of higher standards and development through the spirit of “Man is Brother Unto Man” encouraging Overseas Filipinos to be more generously cooperative and open to fellow Filipinos even more to other nationalities and to become more serious on the field of Information Technology together through a triad of principles basic to the entire Libreng Aral for OFW program: (1)computer education, (2)motivational activities, and (3)fraternal involvement in computer learning while reaching out to people of all ages in different sectors of the society especially churches, schools, Filipino community centers, clubs, migrant labor camps, hospitals and health clinics.
The primary objectives of the Libreng Aral program is: (1) to provide materials and computer resources for the free tutorials and hand-on training of the participants, (2) to incline or motivate fellow Filipinos to the field of Information Technology (IT) and to generate community support for computer literacy.
Filipino participants have the opportunity to choose and learn computer applications such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, iNet surf and searching, computer typing, e-mailing, using instant messenger and fun computer activities (computer learning is really fundamental in the Libreng Aral for OFW)… Triskelions motivate fellow Filipinos to e-learning activities that accompany each computer literacy event.
Triskelion coordinators are the key element to a successful Computer Literacy Program. Each program has a coordinator who acts as a liaison with Libreng Aral for OFW at the Philippine Embassy of Kuwait and is responsible for every Friday session activities (started last March 3 up to April 28, 2006), computer learning events and the completion of reports. Ref: GCS&M Ent.Inc.Western Union has donated 8 computer units and flat screens for the said Project.
