Project at Tahanang Walang Hagdanan
Last October 6, 2007, The Triskelion Alumni of UST turned-over to the Tahanang Walang Hagdanan(TWH) Bahay Biyaya in Cubao, Quezon City in connection to the 39th Anniversary of our Fraterntiy. In a simple but meaningful ceremony, the staff of TWH accepted it warm-heartedly. A small salo-salo was held after.
The TAU tried to challenge the TWH Basketball Team to a 3-on-3. Unfortunately, the TAU members can not fit on the wheelchairs. (Lucky for them).
When I asked Brod John B. to coordinate with TWH, the initial reaction of the person-in-charge was surprisingly…..”Tau Gamma? ‘Di ba masasama yan?” This was the impression of some people on our Fraternity. But they were likewise surprised, that we
are doing charitable works for different institutions and communities here in Metro Manila.
The TAU, since January 2007 has been doing humanitarian projects incooperation with resident brods and sis. To mention a few;
- Medical-Dental Mission in one Barangay in Sampaloc
- Book Drive II in Sampaloc
- Book Drive III in Marikina
- The AFP Pedia Ward Project with Cancer-Stricken Patients
- Relief Goods Drive (Fire victims) to Triskelions in San Cristobal Paco
This last quarter, the TAU has lined-up once again, several humanitarian projects;
- Book Drive Part IV in Boso-boso, Antipolo
- Blood Letting (Philippine National Red Cross)
- White Cross Orphanage in San Juan
- Laruan Para sa Bata Part II in Dapitan
Being of service to others brings out the best in very brod. It creates joy, both on the hearts of those who give, and those who receive. I believe, this s the spirit of Brotherhood. The reason why people like us exist. The essence of Triskelion!
To all Thomasian Triskelions worldwide, who made the TAU a success this 2007, Maraming Salamat sa inyong ahat. To the Officers of the TAU, job well done.
MABUHAY ANG MGA THOMASIAN TRISKELIONS!
MABUHAY ANG TAU GAMMA PHI!
