Once again, the Northeast USA Regional Council of the Tau Gamma Phi and Tau Gamma Sigma showed its Triskelion pride and strength in its 4^th consecutive presence in the annual parade in New York City in the celebration of the 110^th anniversary of Philippine Independence Day on June 1, 2008.

Triskelion marchers were led by Vice Secretary General, Brod Arnold Agas (UST ‘79) in the absence of Secretary General, Brod Danny Escueta (UST ‘74), and with the rest of the officers/ Board of Directors. Parade marchers and floats went down Madison Avenue from East 42^nd St. to East 27^th St. as thousands of Filipinos and New Yorkers alike cheered on. Other Thomasian Triskelions present were Brod Constante “Ting” Bueno (UST ‘82) and Brod Alan Sarenas (UST jrs).

The Northeast USA Regional Council of Tau Gamma Phi/ Tau Gamma Sigma is registered as Northeast Triskelion Incorporated in the state of New York as a non-profit organization in 2006. It has about 200 members in its roster coming from different university and community chapters in the Philippines . The primary goal of NTI is to promote financial stability for the less fortunate fellowmen in the Phil. through scholarship grants and vocational guidance.

Northeast USA Regional Council will be hosting the celebration for the Tau Gamma Phi’s 40th anniversary and is holding its 6th International Convention on Oct. 4, 2008 at Sheraton Hotel, Newark , NJ .
