Seven deacons were ordained as priests for the Archdiocese of Manila last October 11, 2008 in a mass that was presided by Manila Archbishop Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales at 9 a.m. at the Manila Cathedral (Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception) in Intramuros, Manila.

The seven are Reverends Mariano Clarence Calleja Canafe, Jr., LRMS, Bro. Roberto David De la Cruz(SSC/UST 1979), Hans Daza Magdurulang, Marthy de la Cruz Marcelo, Faustino Oringo Mora, Jr., Lorenzo Ruggiero, Lloyd Tan Kit Tio, LRMS.

The deacons underwent formation in the following: Lorenzo Mission Institute, San Carlos Seminary and the Redemptoris Mater Missionary Seminary.

UST and SSC-R brods attended the very special occassion.  Bro./Fr. Bobby became a Grand Triskelion of UST Chapter when he was a resident.
