It was Saturday morning, January 16, 1999 when armed men abducted my older brother Edgar Bentain (TAU GAMMA PHI UST Chapter Batch 1986) outside the Casino Filipino of former Silahis Hotel along Roxas Boulevard in Manila. It will be the 6th year of his mysterious disappearance on Sunday. My family still remains in the dark as to any clues of Edgar’s whereabouts, nor real condition. We are asking the government, What now?

Bro. Ben Beltran, our beloved brother from the University of the Philippines to whom we credit the co-authorship of the Triskelion Hymn above, is no longer with us. He was shot to death by some unknown assailants on Saturday, August 21, 2005 in Manila.

Bro. Alan Cruz (UST ‘86) receives a plaque of recognition from Triskelions’ Grand Fraternity and Sorority Southern Alberta - Canada National Council. This is in recognition of Bro. Alan’s outstanding leadership and devotion to the Fraternity as President and Founder of Calgary Triskelion.

The award was given last January 2, 2010 during the council’s Christmas Party at Choptix Restaurant. Also recepient of the award is Bro. Manny Escalante (UP Chapter).
