Tau Gamma Sigma UST Chapter Outreach Project
Tau Gamma Sigma Sorority Celebrated 41st Anniversary last January 17, 2010. Tau Gamma Sigma UST Chapter conducted and outreach project at the Home for the Aged and Childhaus Institution. It is the Thomasian Lady Triskelions commitment to show that the Triskelions’ Grand Sorority is not just a Sorority but a socially responsible Sorority.
First stop was Missionaries of Charity is a shelter for dying, destitute elderlies who were abandoned by their family located in Tondo, Manila. It is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) headed by Sister John Vianny (Indian National) and subsidized by the Mother Theresa Foundation with 16 shelters nationwide and several others worldwide.
Taking pictures within the facility composed of 3 female wards and 1 male ward complete with clean comfort rooms for each ward, a dining area, kitchen and chapel is prohibited.
Thomasian Lady Triskelions donated and used clothing for male and female; linens (bed sheets & pillow cases); curtains and two boxes of biscuits.
Next stop was CHILD HAUS in Quezon City. Most of the items donated were part of the relief boxes sent by our Triskelion brothers from Southern California, (SOCAL) USA.
Student volunteers were there to help out feed the elderly residents, clean up the ward or wash dishes. Hours spent were credited to their NSTP.
Last stop at the TAU GAMMA SIGMA celebration at the Bernardo Covered Court, Kamuning, Quezon City.
